Lead Acid Battery Certification
Ministry of Environment and Forests (MoEF) have notified the Battery (Management & Handling) Rules-2001 as Amended on May 2010. As per the provision under Rule 5, the importer shall get registered with Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) by submitting application.
The Rules applies to every stack holder such as manufacturer, importer, re-conditioner, assembler, dealer, recycler, auctioneer, consumer and bulk consumer involved in manufacturing, processing, sale, purchase and use of batteries or components thereof.
